F & Q

Is there a cost to shop?
No! Everything available through the Pirate Boutique is completely free to eligible students.

Do I need to donate something to shop?
No. Students do not need to donate an item in order to use the Pirate Boutique.

Do I have to return the items after the event?

No. Items selected from the Pirate Boutique are yours to keep. If you choose to donate them back afterward so another Pirate can use them, we would be happy to accept them.

What items can I donate?
We welcome gently used, clean, and wearable formal dresses, suits, dress shirts, dress pants, ties, shoes, purses, jewelry, and other appropriate formal accessories.

Do donated items need to be cleaned?
Yes, please! We ask that all donated clothing be freshly laundered or dry-cleaned and ready for a student to wear.

Will all sizes be available?
We hope to provide a wide variety of sizes and styles, but because the Pirate Boutique relies on donations, we cannot guarantee specific sizes or items.

Can I reserve an outfit ahead of time?
At this time, items will be available during Pirate Boutique shopping events on a first-come, first-served basis.

Can I donate money instead of clothing?
Yes! Monetary donations can help us purchase needed sizes, accessories, clothing racks, hangers, garment bags, and other supplies for the Boutique.

Who runs the Pirate Boutique?
The Pirate Boutique is sponsored and organized by the Platte County High School PTSA with support from volunteers and community partners.
